“A Prophet to the Nations” 28 Aug 16
Prophetic voices abound in our nation, but how does God evaluate what He is doing in our nation and in the world? God reveals through His prophets what He is doing before He does it (). Jesus promises that He reveals His plans to His friends ().
We need to know God’s interpretation of what is happening in our nation today. Religious leaders, politicians, the news, and business prophets offer plans for hope for our nation. Our God warns that our sin is the greatest threat to ourselves and the nation, and He alone holds out all hope! (). is a favorite verse of many, particularly young adults. It is important to know the context of this beautiful promise. Also, the goal of this promise in is that we might search Him with all of our heart and find Him. Our God rescues His people through judgment.
